Experience Redeemer’s Zoom Communion Service

Register and join Monday, April 13 @ 6:45 – 8:30pm forthe Diocese of Toronto’s special Shop Talk. Take part in, talk about and learn from Church of the Redeemer’s Online Communion Service.

How does Communion change—and how does it stay the same—when celebrated entirely online? Many parishes offer hybrid worship, blending in‑person congregations with those joining via Zoom, YouTube, or Facebook. Church of the Redeemer is one of the few conducting a solely Zoom-enabled Communion service, bringing worshippers together for 45–50 minutes of shared liturgy, hymns, prayer, and homily followed by fellowship.

In this Shop Talk, Redeemer’s clergy, lay and parishioners guide us through an experiential learning session: we’ll participate in their Zoom environment worship and together explore how technology can support authentic worship, and reflect on questions, insights, and possibilities that arise when we gather at a virtual table.

Our conversation on Zoom-enabled Communion began at the February Shop Talk. View that video here (link embedded).
