The Endowment Committee will soon be deciding how the income earned by the Endowment Fund in 2023 should be used. In accordance with the Trust Deed, the funds may be used for:
- Undertakings not ordinarily within the purview of the general funds of Holy Trinity Church and in particular
- To support any Christian endeavour work or project sponsored by the Anglican Church of Canada at the national, diocesan, or parochial level
- To ensure the appropriate upkeep of the lands and premises owned or maintained by Holy Trinity Church.
In 2023, the income was disbursed to Holy Trinity Church Capital Projects, CHATS, Canadian Food Grains Bank and Blue Door (Out of the Cold). If you would like to request funding for 2024, please submit a written request to the Holy Trinity office or email your request to Laura Peetoom- info@holytrinity-thornhill.ca.
At a Special Vestry Meeting convened on December 14, 2022, the fiscal year for the Fund was changed to a twelve-month period ending on the 31st day of December in each year. As a result, we will not know the amount of income available for disbursement until early in the new year. Once we know the amount, the Endowment Committee will develop a plan for the disbursement of the income and submit it to our annual Vestry meeting for approval.
