Lent – DAY 12 – Tuesday, March 2Today’s Reading 2 Corinthians 5:1-5For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For in this tent we groan, longing to be clothed with our heavenly dwelling—if indeed, when we have taken it off we will not be found naked. For while we are still in this tent, we groan under our burden, because we wish not to be unclothed but to be further clothed, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life. He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who has given us the Spirit as a guarantee.Lord, One Line (LOL) Today (by Stephen Fields)Lord God, when we are overwhelmed by the vicissitudes of life and they weigh heavily on our bodies, minds, and spirit, causing our knees to buckle; keep us attentive to the liberating presence of your Spirit that, falling to those knees in full surrender of our wills and selves to you, we will be renewed, empowered, and enabled to stand on the Rock, which is Christ. Amen.HAVE A BLESSED TUESDAY! ... See MoreSee Less

Lent – DAY 11 – Monday, March 1Today’s Reading 2 Corinthians 4:13-18But just as we have the same spirit of faith that is in accordance with scripture—‘I believed, and so I spoke’—we also believe, and so we speak, because we know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also with Jesus, and will bring us with you into his presence. Yes, everything is for your sake, so that grace, as it extends to more and more people, may increase thanksgiving, to the glory of God. So we do not lose heart. Even though our outer nature is wasting away, our inner nature is being renewed day by day. For this slight momentary affliction is preparing us for an eternal weight of glory beyond all measure, because we look not at what can be seen but at what cannot be seen; for what can be seen is temporary, but what cannot be seen is eternal.Lord, One Line (LOL) Today (by Stephen Fields)Lord Christ, increase our faith and help us, this and every day, to realize the challenges and stresses of each day are useful reminders of our dependence upon you and our mutual dependence with others. Amen.HAVE A BLESSED MONDAY! ... See MoreSee Less

Join Bishop Andrew Asbil, The Black Anglicans of Canada, and the rest of the Diocese for our 26th Annual Celebration Service of the Black Heritage of our Church tomorrow evening. All platforms will open at 4:00pm. At 4:15, there will be a prelude of Negro Spiritual followed by the service at 4:30. The theme, “God’s People: Grounded in Faith, Filled with Hope, Called to Action,” reflects the context of the Anglican Church’s response to the issue of anti-Black racism and bias. A new feature of the celebration will be a moderated dialogue between Bishop Andrew Asbil and two young members of Black Anglicans of Canada, Aleshia Johnson and Brittany Hudson. To register, please click the link here: https://eventbrite.ca/e/….You may also join the service on YouTube: https://youtu.be/Dpxq7b_K47U ...
