When he entered the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people came to him as he was teaching, and said, ‘By what authority are you doing these things, and who gave you this authority?’

Loving Jesus, whose transformative and challenging words and deeds so astounded your friends and confounded your adversaries, fill our lips with words that speak of your goodness, and strengthen our hands to perform acts of loving service with the authority and power that are found only in you.
